My name is Joanna Fulford and I’m the founder of Fruitful Data.

why my work matters

Through 25 years of working in the not-for-profit sector, I’ve learnt how to remedy the disappointments of bad data.

Now I consult for and collaborate with purpose-driven organisations like yours to make their data more fruitful, so they can make a bigger difference.

Not everyone enjoys getting stuck into untangling data challenges – but I do! I love digging in to how organisations work with their data: understanding the pain experienced by differnt teams, unearthing the causes of those problems and turning it around, step by step.

For me, there are few things more important to an organisation than high-quality, well-organised data. It’s the foundation of good relationships between you and the people your organisation is helping and engaging with. It’s a valuable asset that needs care and attention.

I know first-hand how poor quality, unreliable, mismanaged data gets in the way. It distracts you from doing your real work. It sucks up time, money and resources. It’s a drain on morale.

Bad data gets in the way of your organisation making an impact.

But good data?

When it’s aligned to your purpose, your strategy and objectives?

When it fits perfectly with your systems, people and processes?

Good data makes having an impact so much easier.

My vision is for every organisation I work with to become more efficient, more decisive and more confidently compliant with their data, so they can focus on what’s most important: making a difference.

If you’re a values-led organisation struggling with …

  • Data you can’t trust, that requires constant cleaning and re-work
  • Data without a purpose, that’s costing time and money but delivering no value
  • Data that’s out of control, that no-one seems to have a handle on
  • Data that’s handled in silos, so there’s no big picture of how data is gathered, managed and used across the organisation
  • Data that’s inconsistent, incomplete or irrelevant
  • Data that simply doesn’t provide the information you need

… then get in touch for an informal, friendly chat about how I can help.
